Consejería de Sanidad de Madrid
Activating talent to implement competency-based management in healthcare.

The Madrid Regional Health Authority needed to implement a competency-based management model in a complex environment: hospitals with different realities, highly specialised profiles and the need for coherence across centres without losing local adaptation.
- Bringing the model to different hospitals
- Training internal tutors to support the process
- A homogeneous implementation without imposing rigid solutions
- Credibility, clarity and practical usefulness in the public system
Since 2008, Imantia has designed and delivered workshops to implement competency-based management, training tutors in different hospitals and supporting rollout teams, always in a practical, progressive way.
With emphasis on deep understanding of the model, confidence to play the tutor role and alignment between what is asked, assessed and supported, so that competency-based management is experienced as a useful tool rather than an administrative requirement.
- Tutors trained to support complex processes
- Progressive, coherent implementation of the model
- Greater alignment across hospitals and teams
- Actions sustained over time since 2008
