Environmental sustainability policy

Introduction

IMANTIA DESARROLLO DIRECTIVO is aware of the importance of its supply chain. For this reason, IMANTIA DESARROLLO DIRECTIVO fosters, establishes and maintains high standards of responsibility regarding the impact of its activity, promoting compliance not only with product and/or service quality standards but also with environmental legislation.

This Policy has its origin in IMANTIA DESARROLLO DIRECTIVO’s Responsible Business Principles, which constitute the frame of reference in the company’s relationship with its different stakeholders, and more specifically in the commitment made by IMANTIA DESARROLLO DIRECTIVO to Sustainable Supply Chain Management.

This Policy responds not only to IMANTIA DESARROLLO DIRECTIVO’s vision in matters of sustainability and risk management, but also to a strategic business approach in which the following are considered of utmost importance:

Scope of application

  • Environmental policy: Imantia has a documented, up-to-date environmental policy that includes the commitment to protect the environment and biodiversity, to comply with applicable laws and to continuous improvement.
  • Environmental management: Imantia has a documented environmental management system that guarantees effective planning, action and control of the most relevant environmental aspects of its activity.
  • Climate change: Imantia takes measures to minimise the impact on climate change arising from our activity, considering the entire value chain in this analysis. We work to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, defining reduction targets for the next 3 years which, as far as possible, should be science-based. To this end we promote energy efficiency and renewable energy initiatives in our activity.
  • Waste: Imantia has systematic processes for waste management, especially waste arising from our activity, prioritising reuse and recycling treatments where possible, with the aim of contributing to the circular economy.
  • Single-use plastics: Imantia is committed to reducing the use of single-use plastics in its activity and internal operations wherever possible.
  • Consumption of materials, resources and atmospheric emissions: Imantia is committed to applying eco-efficiency criteria in the development of its activity, especially when dealing with scarce resources such as water. It must also reduce the emission of polluting gases into the atmosphere to the minimum possible.
